Bringing chess to the community
We are committed to bringing Chess playing opportunities in the Community where we can coordinate the creation of new chess centres and clubs. We also coordinate with libraries and educational research programs in chess related studies and activities. Our philosophy is that Chess should reach every community regardless of social demographics.
Why bring Chess to communities?
Chess brings communities together helping to stave off anti-social behaviour and improve social cohesion. The game fosters creativity and playing on a regular basis sharpens memory. Some health experts have reported the game as reducing the severity of health conditions such as dementia and panic attacks. Some Therapists use the game to promote therapeutic relationships with clients.
We mainly offer three types of activities, Midweek Adult Improver, Grandmaster Lecture Series and Private Lessons. Please refer to our Upcoming events section for precise details on Grandmaster Series and Adult improver dates.
